Aristotle is the first philospher in Western history to have implicitly solved the problem of the chicken and the egg. Historically, his Renaissance followers gave him a bad reputation by arguing against Galileo that the earth does not move. His influence can still be felt in law, ethics, and biology, an area that even Darwin himself considered this philosopher to be indispensable. Born in Stagirus, Macedonia in 384 BCE, he died in Chalcis, Greece in 322 BCE. This tribe is for the discussion of Aristotle, his writings, his influence in the history of philosophy, Aristotelians, etc.
